Metoda interpretacji i przepowiadania słowa Bożego SIFT w służbie kaznodziejstwa całą duszą
Abstrakt
L.J. Francis i P. Atkins opracowali interesującą i bardzo przydatną metodę interpretacji i głoszenia słowa Bożego SIFT (sensing, intuition, feeling, thinking – spostrzeganie, intuicja, uczucia, myślenie), opartą na teologii różnic indywidualnych i psychologii osobowości. Istotą metody jest zastosowanie funkcji umysłu człowieka (spostrzeganie, intuicja, uczucia, myślenie) do zrozumienia procesów interpretacji Biblii i otaczającego świata, a konsekwentnie także ich wpływu na przygotowanie kazań (homilii). Zasadność stosowania metody jest potwierdzana w wielu badaniach empirycznych. Artykuł w swej zasadniczej części prezentuje cztery odmienne sposoby interpretacji tekstów Pisma Świętego za pomocą funkcji psychicznych (s-i-f-t), cztery kroki w podejściu do konkretnej perykopy biblijnej wyznaczane tymi funkcjami oraz przykład zastosowania metody SIFT do tekstu Ewangelii według św. Marka 4, 35-41. Korzystanie z metody SIFT daje pełny dostęp do tekstu świętego i pozwala przepowiadać w sposób zrozumiały dla wiernych także o innym typie psychologicznym niż naturalne preferencje umysłu kaznodziei.
