The Picture of the Electoral Campaign of 2011 in Social and Political Press – „Newsweek. Polska”, „Wprost”, „Polityka”

Abstract

9 October 2011 was the day of the parliamentary electoral campaign in Poland. Officially, the campaign period had started in early August 2011. Informally, the politicians started their election-related activities a couple of months earlier. This paper presents the general picture of this campaign, as based on the analysis of texts published in three leading Polish press titles dealing with social and political issues. The image of the campaign presented in the paper takes into account the narrative agendas of the particular press titles under analysis.
