The Process of the Globalisation of World Economy After World War Two

Abstract

The paper characterises the process of the globalisation of world economy after World War Two, focusing on its specific properties in particular decades of the twentieth century. In the first years following the Second World War trade dominated in the international relations. In the 1970s and 1980s the prime mover of the process of globalisation was played by the international capital transfer. From the mid-1980s, however, it was investigations of international corporations and technology transfer that became important. In line with the globalisation of world economy there is a process of economic integration, the process that accelerates the expansion of international corporations abroad.
