Las Siete Partidas Alfonsa X jako źródło do dziejów historii wojskowości. Wybrane zagadnienia
Abstrakt
W kodeksie Siete Partidas król Alfons X szczegółowo omawia zagadnienia związane z działaniami wojennymi, takie jak: obowiązek służby wojskowej, prowadzenie wojny na lądzie i na morzu, obrona zamków i twierdz, bitwy i oblężenia, kompetencje dowódców, utrzymanie dyscypliny, broń, zaopatrzenie itp. To pragmatyczne podejście odzwierciedla sytuację na Półwyspie Iberyjskim, którego społeczeństwo znajdowało się w czasie rekonkwisty w stanie permanentnego konfliktu. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia regulacje dotyczące powszechnego obowiązku obrony króla i jego zamków, obrony kraju, militarnego wsparcia króla w sytuacji zarówno defensywy, jak i ofensywy, a także prawa dotyczące rycerzy i wojny na morzu. Zwrócono również uwagę na fakt, że imperialne ambicje kastylijskiego króla prawdopodobnie miały wpływ na kształt jego dzieła.
