Abstrakt

The text constitutes the fifth part of the publication cycle addressing the problems of translation of the Old-Church-Slavonic literature into Polish together with the bibliographic data. The first part was devoted to translations from the second part of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. The second one comprises the period from the beginning of the 19th century until the end of the first half of the 20th century (1806-1948) – translations focused mainly on three basic texts: The Tale of Igor’s Campaign, The Nestor’s Chronicle and St Methodius’ Life. The third part concentrates on the work of Fr Stanisław (Eustachy) Strach, who maintains a regular column entitled Język naszej liturgii (‘The language of our liturgy’) in the Polish monthly Przegląd Prawosławny (‘The Orthodox Review’), presenting liturgical poetry dedicated to saints and particular Christian festivals and holy days. The fourth part continues a review from the first one (up to 2011), focusing mostly on translations presented in Polish periodicals (Przegląd Prawosławny ‘The Orthodox Review’, Tygodnik Polski/Tygodnik Podlaski ‘Polish Weekly/The Podlasie Weekly’). This part presents both figures and a rich review of works of archimandrite Roman Piętka MIC and Fr Henryk Paprocki, who decided to announce their translations through the Internet.
