Zoonimia wsi Krawce w powiecie tarnobrzeskim

Abstrakt

The article is devoted to the folk names of domestic animals such as: horses, cows and bull-calves, goats, pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats.

The material consisting of 485 names was collected in Krawce village in Tarnobrzeg administrative district. The author discusses the motivation of the names and their formative built. She also draws attention to the changes which have been in progress in folk zoomymy (the rejection of traditional names to the benefit of the new ones, especially these derived from personal names and often overtaken from the mass media).
