O stylu ostatnich wierszy Czesława Miłosza

Abstrakt

The paper focuses on the linguistic style of Czesław Miłosz’s last poems collected in two collections: To [This] and Ostatnie wiersze [Last Poems]. The main problem in that period with regard to its language was the question of the truth and falsehood of poetic text. Among the most important stylistic properties in this writing one should mention the coexistence of intellectual and lyrical elements, the combination of prose and poetry, texts imbued with symbolism, aphorisms, and at the same time elements of colloquialism.
