Zestawienie biblijnych odwołań w dziełach Żeromskiego

Abstrakt

The dictionary contains a systematic list of biblical quotations broadely understood (quotation, reference, paraphrase) which crop up in the literary works of Żeromski, as they are comprised in the edition of „Works” edited by S. Pigoń (1953-1973). In tables have been placed side by side a quotation from the work of Żeromski which contains a biblical reference and the original text of the reference. In each case it is the Bible translated by Wujek. In those cases, however, where there is a possibility to quote from another edition there is given an appriopriate passage from the Vulgate, Gdańsk Bible and Brest Bible.

The dictionary seeks to prepare materials for the documented studies on the biblical inspirations in the literary work of Żeromski, and it makes a part of a greater work devoted to the function of biblical quotations in the writer’s literary work.
