The Linguistic Image of a Community (on the Basis of the New Testament Translated by Rev. Jakub Wujek)

Abstract

The paper depict the conception of a community (ecclesia) resulting from the linguistic analysis of the New Testament translated by Rev. Jakub Wujek (1594).

The author discusses the meaning of the ecclesia of the New Testament and presents many expressions which in the translation refer to it, e.g. “church, congregation, assembly, society, Christian, brother, comrade” etc.
