The Functions of Nature in Józef Mackiewicz's Droga donikąd. Some Problems
Abstract
Nature is copiously present throughout Mackiewicz's writings and is endowed with many functions; as such, it has considerable importance. This is particularly the case in Droga donikąd, where natural motifs continuously „attack” the reader, so that it is in fact hard to understand and interpret the book without a proper look at them.
