In particular, the form of this structure, the distribution of roles between project managers and line managers, their duties, typical causes of conflicts, and rules of coordination and cooperation are discussed. Also some varieties of matrix structures are presented. Next, ideal conditions are specified in which the matrix structure may be applied and the problems that are connected with its use. One of the conditions of implementation of this kind of structure is the proper organization culture. The advantages and disadvantages of the structure are discussed considering such questions as: the very project, its manager, functional cells and project personnel.
