The Basic Assumptions of the Preventive System of St John Bosco
Abstract
The basic assumptions of the preventive system of St John Bosco are as follows: reason, religion, goodness and presence. In his formative system they make up on basic structure. The first three constitute the so-called trinomial of the preventive system. The pedagogic presence, however, bears a particular significance. The three dimensions of pedagogic activity make up at the same time the conditions of its efficacy. St John Bosco’s integral pedagogy is a particular form of evangelical and humanistic love.
