Abstract

The symbols that occur in the Light-Life Movement not only define the dynamics and rhythm of its life but also play an important role both the life of an individual and in that of society. Apart from that they also fulfill psychopedagogical functions. The symbols of the movement not only help to formulate the personality ideal, but they also encourage putting it into practice. Traces of presence of the symbols and of the meanings they bring can be found in man’s biological, psychological, sociological, cultural and spiritual, sociological, cultural and spiritual spheres.

The „forgotten language” of symbols is vital for the processes of education and self-education. It seems that with respect to the latter one the role of the symbols increases proportionally to the decrease in the influence of other factors.
