Old Living. Quarters Living and Social Environment

Abstract

The paper presents a description of old living quarters as social and living environments and also their role (but in fact, their crisis) as central districts of the town-city. The author presents his critical assessment of the principles and concepts of revalorization of such districts and proposes adoption of the concept of „revitalization” which should be applied for social and urban policy as well as for the programmes with regard to the old quarters.
