Abstrakt
The paper discusses the problems of the relationships young people have with their parents and what they achieve at school. The research standpoints here allow us to conclude that the authoritative style of education, i.e. characterised by emotional closeness between young people and their parents, well-defined requirements that young people are supposed to satisfy. This the style of education which correlates with school success not only in children, but also in teenagers. This fact is extremely important both as a perspective of the new research approach to the problem of success at school. It is also a proposal of a concrete practical approach.
