A Stone in the Cemetery, A page in the Album... Remarks about the Romantic Album

Abstract

The article is concerned with Romantic albums and is an introduction into their complex semiotics. The author indicates categories that are key ones for the poetics of the album, she subjects to analysis the labile structure of the album and suggests the directions in which to interpret „the album practice”. The destination point of the discussion is the thesis saying that the album is one of the borders of modern literature and the sensibility underlying it.
