Critics in Poland on Herling-Grudziński (Official Publications 1945-1988)
Abstract
Herling-Grudziński is not a timid man. He will gather up his courage to stare Medusa in the eye. But he can be momentarily paralysed by her gaze. As one reads his works, which record so many proofs of his valour, one cannot fail to notice that passing violent twitch in his face.
