Józef Czechowicz's Apokalipsa negatywna

Abstract

Those who know the poet's work have mostly thought little enough of the poem not to include it in their selections from Czechowicz. I believe that that is wrong, even though I, too, have had some doubts about the artistic rank of the poem. But I have no doubt about its importance as a text, because of the haunting idea hidden under the hermetic and mysterious image.
