Słowacki's Artistic Rome

  • Dorota Kudelska

Abstract

Judging from letters and mentions in his literary works, one could suppose Słowacki saw everything that belonged in the day's canon. But in his wanderings in Rome he probably did not follow the trail of writers and literary works. He hardly ever went sightseeing by himself, and his best memories concern evening walks in the company of Zygmunt Krasiński.
