The Oldest Picture of Polish Latin Poetry
Abstract
The texts deals with Józef Franciszek Ksawery Miliński as a student of Polish literature who wrote in German with a view to popularising Polish poetry in Prussian society. His work considered here is the first synthesis of earliest Latin poetry written in Poland, the Kurzgefasste Darstellung der Geschichte der polnisch-lateinischen Poesie in Polen bis Klonowicz (1853).
