Poetyckie poznawanie świata Urszuli Kozioł

  • Maria Gorlińska

Abstrakt

In Urszula Kozioł’s literary output there is a tendency to grasp the world as a whole in a poetic manner. She seeks its more complete cognition. This is carried out by way of constructions which join within the confines of one text elements which in reality belong to various chronological, spatial and ontologic orders while creating a suggestion of homogenity of the human and natural world, biological and civilizational processes. Such a tendency manifests itself in seeking a common principle of being for everything that exists, and in construing a conception of man whose essence is defined by the archetype present in his consciousness.

Poetic representation plays an essential role in construing these poetic constructions yet also the manner in which one handles the tone of a text contributes to their suggestiveness.

The cognitive tendencies of U. Kozioł’s poetry which bear an intellectual character are closely linked with an emotional aura of her poems. In this aura there dominates a sense of strong emotional ties between man and the earth taken as a whole.

The tendency of U. Kozioł’s poetry to penetrate the world in a cognitive manner has not been fulfilled in her works. The earth defends itself against encroaching upon its mystery. Man experiences an inability to a complete cognition.
