  • Edward A. Mazurkiewicz

Abstract

The paper outlines some essential elements of the portrait of Aleksander Kamin´ski (1903-1978), and academic teacher. It shows the virtues of the master as internalized active values which function in the workshop of the researcher and social educator. The paper pinpoints the educative significance of his content-related, methodological and moral competence. From the ever present pattern of the master some traits of efficient and moral work have been elicited, traits concerning research, application and didactic profits. What is especially strong, as regards the master’s virtues, it is his unique and close relation between the cognitive sphere and life and practical experience. This relation is exceptionally important in the pedagogic output and social service.
