Filozofia i nauki

Abstrakt

After demonstrating some of the historical connections between philosophy and the science, we also show the irreducibility of the epistemologies of the particular sciences to the philosophical epistemology. As an object of philosophical inquiry the world, as it really exists pluralistically, requires a philosophical method of knowledge which is irreducible to the scientific one. This does not mean that the scientist cannot philosophize nor the philosopher practice a science. It does mean that each must recognize and respect the proper boundaries of their own methods of knowing.
