Abstrakt

The aim of this paper is to show arelatively present state of the discussion concerning the theory underdetermination thesis as it is analysed in different historical matamethodologies. This relation involved esp. in american philosophy of science constitutes aunifying theme of our survey which is dominated by different phases of Larry Laudan's standpoint.
