Rev. Włodzimierz Sedlak − Scientific Biography
Abstract
The biography of Włodzimierz Sedlak − a Roman Catholic priest and the professor of theoretical biology at the Catholic University of Lublin (Lublin, Poland) − has been presented. He was an unconventional scientist, a prominent scholar, and an original writer. In the domain of science he originated the electromagnetic theory of life, the concepts of bioplasma, Homo electronicus etc. He created a new direction in the bioelectronics and initiated paleobiophysics − a new discipline in paleobiology. He also contributed to the paleobiochemistry of silicon, the paleontology of Cambrian period, anthropology, the philosophy of nature, etc. A Bibliography of Sedlak's works is enclosed (170 refs.).
