10 Years of the Intensive Course in Polish Language and Culture for Foreign Students

Abstract

This paper was written on the occasion of the 10th anniversary (October '86) of the Intensive Course in Polish Language and Culture for Foreign Students at the Catholic University of Lublin. It deals with the four main aspects of the Course: 1) staff and students, 2) programme of the three-level instruction, 3) informational and editing activities, 4) further training of Polish language teachers.

Finally, a suggestion is made in favour of a fixed number of students and a "Proficiency in Polish" diploma.
