Abstract

This text shows various strategies and Norwid's texts and styles in rock music. The space of analytical considerations here is filled with structural and semantic analyses concerning rock compositions, whose style and semantics are defined by relations with the works of the author of Vade Mecum. Now the definion of the mutual relations between the literary codes of tradition and their application in the rock version provide an opportunity to grasp and present the function and semantic effects of the bond between a textual passage and its new context

My intersemantic strategy of the inspection of literary texts (rock text/ Norwid's text) is made concrete in the presented interpretative variants – specific proposals to read out the scripts of the literary “game” projected by contemporary artists: Czesław Niemen, Stan Borys, Maciej Maleńczuk, and Anja Ortodox.
