About Time and Eternity

Abstract

This paper is a set of thoughts about time, eternity and their nature. We give a work definition of time and the flow of time. We prove that, in order that a man can create and have consciousness, a future and a past must be disjoint space-time areas; and that, in order that a man can built mankind, a flow of time, i.e. lineary succession of present moments, must exist.

We have three kinds of eternal existences: 1) potential − eternal existences, for which all is the future because they can influence everything; 2) consciousness − eternal existences, for which all is the past because they know everything; 3) and actual − eternal existences, for which all is the present, everything is its work. God has these three kinds of eternity.

Infinite time is a projection of God's eternity on the imperfect world. Man has life, finite in time and put in space, and because of this every man is different, has other capacities and other working conditions.

In this paper there is also an illustration of relativism of the points of view of God and man, using the relativism of points of view of different observers in the Einstein relativity theory, but going to the extreme.
