Association "Poland's Care for Poles in Exile" 1926-1939

Abstract

This article presents a full picture of the activity of the association entitled Opieka Polska nad Rodakami na Obczyinie (Poland's Care for its Natives in Exile) in the years 1926-39. In agreement with its title, the organization occupied itself with the care of Polish emigrants in the fullest sense of the word. Its activity spread out to many countries to which Polish emigrants had gone. The doings of the organization are presented against a wide background of emigrant needs. The article among other things speaks of the exeptional activitists of the organization which had a membership reaching to nearly all of Poland.

The article explains the financial basis of the organization's activity, the directions and forms of its work and also its cultural and educational activity.
