Abstract

The author of the article is pastor of a Polish parish in Canada. He presents its religious and social role after the World War II. Apart form purely religious aims, the parish acomplishes many other social tasks. Namely, the Polish language and culture is taught there. Besides, many Polish associations, folk dance groups and choirs work in the garish. Special material help for Poland and the Catholic University of Lublin is provided there. Moreover, the Windsor parish has a special fund for all social activities and the parish buildings. The author mentions, the importance of the religious and social help of the Polish sisters as well as the cooperation with the Canadian Church and Government institutions.
