European Regulations on Mediation in Civil and Commercial Lawsuits
Abstract
Conflict as well as its regulation and control methods in particular are unquestionably the subject of law. In this respect, conflict is governed by the principles and objectives adopted by the legal system. Parties may resolve a conflict and reach an agreement without entering a lawsuit. In certain cases they have an opportunity to do so after bringing their case to court. Hence, in this area of law there is a wide range of alternative methods of dispute resolution. This article presents the institution of mediation and refers only to European legal regulations related to civil and commercial mediation cases.
